Rebuilt from the
Ground Up
For 63 days, this Airstream's body sat completely separated from its frame. Not patched. Not freshened. Rebuilt — the way you'd restore something worth restoring.
The rear six feet of frame were cut away and replaced with new steel. Nearly every outrigger was replaced and welded. The factory joints — many of which had never been welded — were all welded. POR-15 rust preventative was applied throughout. New Colin Hyde uprated axles were fitted at a 32° down angle, bringing the GVWR to 7,700 lbs with roughly 1,945 lbs of cargo capacity.
Then every system — electrical, plumbing, climate, interior — was rebuilt from scratch. Not upgraded. Built new, on a foundation that will outlast most anything on the road today.
